In our Pokemon GO Diamond or Pearl Badge Choice – Dialga or Palkia Origin Forme guide, we are going to explain what the differences are between the two Badges and which bonuses you’ll get on either path. Then, we will explain in more detail what the two Adventure Effects do and give our recommendation on which you should choose: the Diamond or Pearl badge. There’s a lot to get into, so let’s begin.
Pokemon GO Diamond and Pearl Badge Bonuses & Differences
In the list below, you can see the different bonuses you can earn depending on whether you choose the Pokemon GO Diamond and Pearl Badge in the Sinnoh Tour, aka depending on whether you choose Dialga or Palkia Origin Forme. There are a few extra differences for the Los Angeles in-person event: getting more Dialga or Palkia Candy, reward encounters with Pokemon exclusive to Diamond or Pearl, etc. In general, though, these are the main differences.

Pokemon GO Dialga VS Palkia Badge Choice – Which One to Choose?
There are two criteria you should use when making the Pokemon GO Dialga vs Palkia badge choice, or the Diamond or Pearl choice. The first one is which Pokemon you’d prefer to have the Origin Forme of. Dialga is rated slightly lower than Palkia, but not by that much. The second criterion is which Adventure Effect you find more useful. Roar of Time lets you pause timers on Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces for 6 minutes (up to 24 hours total) by spending 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candy. Spacial Rend lets you sacrifice 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy and get Wild Encounters at an increased distance for 10 minutes (up to 24 hours total).
With all of that in mind, I’d recommend going with the Diamond Badge, aka the Dialga route. Pausing timers strategically sounds like it could come in clutch. But, the choice is ultimately up to you. For more info, check out the official post.
